Such a shame! I remember seeing bits and pieces on the Com X site at the time and really looking forward to it.

The more of these sketches and concept work I see, the more I think a printed sketch book is definitely in order!Really looking forward to Kestrels.

Great work, as always. I used a picture of one of your heavy plant illo's to illustrate a blog post I did about you two years ago. If you'd like to read it, it's here:-http://www.kirkendall.co.uk/index.php?id=100

I really like that top machine, the one gathering debris. It has a really human quality, as though you based it on a crouched child at play on the floor, breathing life into a machine…not easy.

That was my favourite as well. At some point I’ll dig out the original pencil drawings for all of these machines.

Please do. I think the first image of yours that really grabbed me was also a machine. I found your work in back issues of 2000AD. There were no albums at the time, no re-prints. And you had moved on, so I didn’t know your work at that point. But I found this back-issue and the panel that got me was ‘Fink’ hitching a ride along some hover-frieghter-bus. It was heavy looking yet floating in traffic ….with this ghoul-billy alongside.
